| | Multiple Sclerosis is Not a Death Sentence
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease that attacks the Central Nervous System (CNS), which is the brain and spinal cord. MS is thought to be an autoimmune disorder, which means the immune system is attacking itself. In the case of MS, the immune system is hyperactive and attacks the myelin, which is the fatty substance that surrounds and protects the nerve fibers in the brain, optic nerves and spinal cord. Thats a possibly reason why people with MS experience emotional problems and problems with eyesight. The damaged myelin may form scar tissue, which is called sclerosis. When any part of the nerve fiber is destroyed, nerve impulses to the brain are distorted.
Although MS typically kills people before their natural biological time clock does, there are many disruptive symptoms in the meantime. These can include: tingling, numbness, slurred speech, painful sensations, blurred vision, poor balance or coordination, muscle tightness, tremors, paralysis, problems with bowel or bladder function, sexual disorders and fatigue. MS can cause forgetfulness or mood swings and with many diseases may cause depression and/or anxiety.
It is estimated that 400,000 Americans currently have MS and the numbers are growing. Most patients are diagnosed between the ages of 20-50 years and it may take some time for the medical bureaucracy to deliver a definitive diagnosis. About two-thirds are women. It is also noted that most of these patients have grown up in cold climates. Although there is no known genetic factor, studies show that certain individuals are more susceptible to the disease than others.
As with most autoimmune disorder, MS is very unpredictable. It does not manifest the same in any one person. The disease ranges from mild to intermittent attacks. In the worst case it is very progressive. This means that some people have attacks followed by remission and others experience a progressive disease with steadily worsening symptoms.
MS is not easy to diagnose because symptoms may come and go. In addition, other diseases of the central nervous system have similar symptoms. No single test can confirm MS. MRIs helps to clarify diagnosis. If there is multiple evidence of scar tissue in different parts of the nervous system and at least two different attacks of the disease, typically an MS diagnosis can be found. There are different types of MS, which is why I believe each patient must be treated individually. The best doctor is typically one that is not only a person of science but also a good cop. Making a logical assumption from signs and symptoms is sometimes more vital to early diagnosis than the best technological achievements.
My goal is to re-balance the body so it will stop attacking itself. If the client is compliant and willing to work hard, I can accomplish this. I use therapeutic dosages of liquid extracts, amino acids and supplements. The problem is MS is typically very slow to degenerate. So the client has to be highly motivated. That means they want to work hard to eliminate their problem. They must take my protocol 2-4 times per day.
The reason I get results in autoimmune disorders, such as MS, is dosage. One key to eliminating autoimmune disorders is therapeutic dosages. That means herbal extracts: typically 1:1 extracts (versus the watered down tinctures in health food stores), which are specifically organic. So supplements in high dosages along with amino and essential fatty acids.
It is possible to recover from MS. The key is to slow down the immune system so it can function properly. It is interesting that many people with autoimmune disorders, including MS, never get colds or flu. If your immune system is hyperactive you typically dont get normal colds and flu. Once we slow down the immune system, it is not uncommon to pick up a cold. You may then realize that you haven't been sick for months or many years.
So if you think you are ready to change your lifestyle and do the work necessary to re-balance your body, then I am ready to support and encourage you every step of the way!
